Quirky, unique, romantic, eclectic, unexpected -
are all words used to describe The Magnolia Moon.

What is it? The area, originally developed in 1986 to be a part of an entertainment complex in the Northwest corner of historic downtown Guthrie was actually used as an amphitheater for approximately 12 years. Performers such as Vince Gill and John Hartford took the stage during the Blue Grass Festival and many local events were staged at the facility. The festival moved to the cottonwood flats just northwest of downtown, and the amphitheater was abandon. Purchased by two industrious visionaries it was transformed into their home, and the grounds turned in to what many call a "secret garden". Nestled in an unassuming spot - of Oklahoma's original Capital City, The Magnolia Moon has elegance, charm and history all rolled into one. It's simple, yet has a one of a kind look - that is a perfect setting for a unique wedding and celebration.

wedding In 2001 this unique transformation caught the attention of HGTV and they came to Guthrie to film a segment called Rezoned. This spotlighted a fire station, a Church, some Kansas grain bins, and an "Oklahoma Amphitheater" that had all been transformed from their previous lives. The 6 minute segment will soon be available to view on our website.
